About us
Solon Merchant Capital Partners Fund I SCSp is an Alternative Investment Fund established in 2023 in Luxembourg as a special limited partnership and registered with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). It is managed by its General Partner, Solon Capital Advisers S.ár.l., an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) registered with the CSSF (registration number A00003858).
Solon Merchant Capital Partners has invested in over €50m of financial claims and real assets in the first 16 months of its operations. Our target unlevered returns are 15%-20% depending on the risk profile and asset cover of each investment opportunity. We have targeted 120% – 200% of real asset cover in each transaction.
Our team comprises seasoned professionals with decades of experience and a background in investment banking, private credit, real estate, insolvency practice, turnaround management, asset tracing and legal claims enforcement. We work with leading international financial institutions, accounting firms, consultants, legal firms and property managers, including external operating partners.
Our investment instruments include bonds, convertible or exchangeable notes, common & preferred equity, warrants and other. We invest across a number of adjacent strategies leveraging the persistent dislocations in our target market including the shortfall of availability of bank loans for mid-caps and SME’s, strong demand for asset-based credit, bridge financing for restructuring and real asset acquisitions, property development funding and outright opportunities in industrial, commercial and residential real estate.
